The experiment:

This research involves volunteers who are of legal age, fluent in English , and who do not have visual or hearing impairment affecting communication. This research examines how AI-generated voices influence human perception and behavior.

During the experiment, you will:

1. Read this letter of information
2. Sign a consent form
3. Have conversations with the voice assistant
4. Fill in a questionnaire

The experiment will take approximately 15 minutes. You may withdraw at any time without explanation.

Expected benefits, risks and/or constraints:

There are no known risks. The only disadvantage is the time spent participating in the study, which you'll be compensated for.

Your rights:

Participation is entirely voluntary. You may refuse or withdraw at any time without explanation or consequences.

Personal data management (GDPR) and data release:

Audio interactions and answers for the questionnaire will be collected. The anonymized data from this study will be used for research purposes and may be shared with researchers from other departments or institutions.

According to the general data protection regulation (GDPR), a person's consent is required to store personally identifiable data. At any point during or after the experiment, you may retract your consent to us storing your data. If you do that, we are legally obliged to delete your data. Your data will be stored on a secure server at KTH. The only people working with your personally identifiable data will be those involved in analyzing this experiment and project. We will not under any circumstances share your personally identifiable data with any external or third parties.
